ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson on Wednesday announced the launch of “Digital Shield,” a $18.9 million initiative that will use Flock Safety cameras to enhance crime prevention.

Digital Shield will employ advanced license plate recognition and real-time data sharing to aid law enforcement in locating stolen vehicles, identifying suspects and uncovering investigative leads. Cameras will be placed along major corridors, neighborhood entry points and high-traffic intersections.
