A second suspect was indicted and charged with involuntary manslaughter in the August stabbing death of a 14-year-old boy at a North Toledo McDonald’s, police said Wednesday.
Officers responded about 8:25 p.m. to the McDonald’s restaurant at Summit and 124th streets on Aug. 23. They found Xander Epps suffering from at least one stab wound, police said. He later died at Mercy Health St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
In addition to involuntary manslaughter, Ashley Strasbourg, 40, was charged Wednesday with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. She was already in custody on unrelated charges, police Lt. Daniel Gerken said.
John Jackson, a 16-year-old, was arrested and charged with murder in Xander’s death last month.
