CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Police are investigating a south Charlotte crash that left one person dead.
On Sept. 23, around 4:49 p.m., officers responded to a crash in the 8400 block of Pineville-Matthews Road. When officers arrived, they found a damaged Nissan Xterra and Honda Civic.
The driver of the Nissan was located on the scene with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda, Kenneth Earle, 26, was located with life-threatening injuries.
When medical personnel arrived on scene, they pronounced Earle deceased.
The initial investigation shows that Earle was driving his Honda northeast on Pineville-Matthews when his vehicle veered into the left lane and collided with the Nissan.
Toxicology results are pending for Earle.
