WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) is seeking donations after a ferret was abandoned in Warwick earlier this month.

In a social media post Wednesday, the RISPCA explained that the furless ferret was spotted outside of Iggy's Doughboys & Chowder House.

The female ferret, who's since been appropriately named "Iggy," was brought to the Warwick Animal Shelter by a good Samaritan.

Iggy was then safely driven to the RISPCA, which "of course, couldn't say no" to taking her in.

"Iggy is an older ferret who's clearly been through a lot," the RISPCA wrote. "She's lost most of her fur and is facing some serious medical challenges."
