CORYELL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - Romi Jolee Bomar, 18, of Gatesville, Texas, suffered deadly injuries after her Jeep collided with a Ford F-350 heavy duty pickup.

The deadly crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. on State Highway 36, just west of Long Bridge, on Sept. 24.

DPS said Bomar was travelling eastbound on SH 36 in a 2014 Jeep when she lost control of the vehicle on the wet roadway and crossed into the path of the Ford pickup heading west on the same highway.

Bomar suffered critical injuries and was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas, where she succumbed to her injuries and pronounced dead by medical staff.

The driver of the Ford was also transported to Baylor Scott and White for incapacitating injuries, but is in stable condition.
