WACO, Texas (KWTX) - After launching earlier this week, Walmart is now the first retailer to offer same-day delivery of refrigerated prescriptions, which include medications like amoxicillin, insulin, and GLP-1s.

Lori Espinosa, Hewitt’s Walmart pharmacy manager, says this is a game-changer, especially for diabetics who rely on prescriptions for survival.

“Insulin, you know…. Customers may not have access to it or may not be able to get into the pharmacy in the hours we are open. Maybe they don’t have transportation,” she said. “Now it can be delivered to their door, so we take away that barrier to access to care.”
