LAFAYETTE, Ala. (WTVM) - Officials are urging witnesses to come forward after one person was murdered Friday in Lafayette.

According to officials, a 42-year-old male was pronounced dead on Sept. 19. The shooting happened near Alabama Avenue East and 7th Street NE, near Lafayette High School.

Only one person has been arrested in connection to the shooting. Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward for tips that can lead to additional arrests.
