ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A bicyclist was left in critical condition after a crash in Escambia County.

According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Santa Cruz, driven by a 57-year-old Pace woman, was going south on North Davis Highway in the inside lane of the I-10 West and I-110 South ramp.

A pedalcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Pensacola, was traveling south in the inside lane of North Davis Highway. The Hyundai collided with the cyclist, who was in front of the vehicle.

The crash occurred at 4:23 a.m. on Sept. 24.

The cyclist is in critical condition, and the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
