Residents of Greenfield Park and the Le Moyne sector are being advised to boil their water starting Sept. 27 as of 8 p.m., as planned maintenance at the Le Royer water plant may temporarily affect water quality.

The minimum duration of this preventive boil water advisory is 48 hours.

Officials say to carry out this work, the Le Royer plant must be closed, and the sectors normally supplied by this plant (Greenfield Park borough, Le Moyne sector, cities of Brossard and Saint-Lambert) will be served by the other drinking water plants, namely Louise-Gravel and Mario-Petrone.

The planned work consists of replacing valves and inspecting a main line at the outlet of the plant.
