THOMASVILLE, Ala. (WKRG) — The suspect in a deadly Thomasville 18-wheeler crash earlier this year was set to have an arraignment on Wednesday, Sept. 24, but it was delayed.
According to court documents, Andrii Dmyterko's attorney is working on a capital murder trial that began on Sept. 9 and is expected to last three weeks.
In May, Dmyterko was driving an 18-wheeler when he slammed into multiple vehicles that were stopped at a red light on Highway 43, according to the Clarke County Sheriff's Office.
Two people were killed in the crash, while another four people were transported to a local hospital with injuries.
Dmyterko faces two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
