Adelaide’s Halal Food Fest is back this October, taking over Victoria Square for three days of flavour and culture, but this year, the event is about more than just food. This year, the festival is back with the mantra ‘to feed Gaza as well as Adelaide,’ and they have set an ambitious goal of raising $50,000 for Gaza by donating the proceeds from 5,000 $10 meals.

Kicking off on Friday, October 3rd and running through to Sunday, October 5th, the festival has added an extra day to its schedule, up from two in 2024, and is looking to be the biggest and most meaningful yet.

Creative Director Mohammed Hassan says the cause is at the heart of this year’s event. “We’re in Victoria Square for three days this year, which is an increase on the two-day event in 2024,” shared Mohammed. “Our festival
