LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A jury has found a Basehor man guilty of child sexual abuse after he admitted the crimes to multiple area pastors.

The Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday, Sept. 24, that Charles S. Bell, 47, of Basehor, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

In September 2023, the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office said it was sent to an area high school to investigate reports of past child sexual abuse. The student identified Bell as the abuser and claimed it had happened over several years.
