INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - The family of Anthony Myers said he was killed senselessly over a Chiefs sweatshirt.

This sparked a multi-day manhunt for Trey Parker , who has been charged with second-degree murder.

“It was violent, it was senseless, and it was just cruel,” said Makalya Myers, Anthony’s daughter.

According to the probable cause statement, on Friday night, after a garage sale, Myers and Parker got into an argument about a red Chiefs sweatshirt Myers was wearing that belonged to Parker.

The incident was caught on nearby surveillance footage, which showed the two arguing face-to-face. Then it showed Parker waving an “item” around, then raising his right arm and stabbing Myers.
