LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - For as long as she can remember, Martha Jackson has relied on TARC to get where she needs to go.

“The whole city of Louisville, we need it,” she said while waiting for her bus Wednesday afternoon. “We need transportation, we need TARC.”

Jackson has watched the seats slowly empty next to her while the number of routes has also decreased over time.

“The years done passed, they done cut a lot of service out,” Jackson said. “It’s making it more hard for us.”

That’s why she supports new changes and improvements by the agency.

TARC unveiled its new network system on Tuesday. Even though it means some people may lose service or have to walk further to catch a bus, its overhaul is meant to make service better for the people who rely on it.
