LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The mother of the man accused of killing a Louisville Paving and Construction worker and shooting an off-duty Louisville Metro Police Department officer in November of 2021 took the stand on the second day of her son’s trial.
Keyshaun Stewart is charged with the murder of Fred O’Bannon and with the attempted murder of Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) sergeant Chris Lane. The shootings happened on the Watterson Expressway near Dixie Highway on November 19, 2021.
On Wednesday, Stewart’s mother, Ophelia Roland, took the stand to share details about the family’s long history of mental health issues.
