MENASHA, Wis. (WBAY) - The Barlow Planetarium had its grand re-opening on Wednesday.

The future seemed unclear for the planetarium after the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities Campus shut down. Winnebago County purchased the property.

While it’s been operating for a few weeks under its new management, officials with the planetarium say the grand re-opening signifies a new beginning.

“I think our transition over from UWO to Winnebago County is a smooth as it could possibly have been when no one has any experience with doing it. We’ve had a lot of support from Winnebago County as we’ve been getting going,” said Teri Gee, Ph.D. and manager of the Barlow Planetarium.
