LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Las Vegas air travel continues to lag behind 2024 levels, signaling that the city’s tourism recovery still has ground to make up.

According to Harry Reid International Airport, passenger counts dropped 5.8% in August compared to last year, continuing a trend that’s been in place for seven months.

Domestic travel continues to take the biggest hit, down 5.9% year-over-year, while international travel was down 3.7% compared to August 2024. Year-to-date, arriving and departing passengers are down 4.5%, a slight dip from July’s 4.4% year-to-date decline.
