WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Washington County Sheriff Keith Sexton said on Wednesday that all videos of body and dash cameras in his office's possession have been submitted to the district attorney general's office.

The information came in a statement, one day after Criminal Court Judge Stacy Street decided to uphold a court order that was issued after First Judicial District Attorney General Steve Finney called Street expressing a concern about a lack of evidence.

Finney claimed his office had learned the Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) was not always providing the DA's office with all of the relevant footage for cases.

Street signed an order Sept. 5 directing the sheriff's office to gather and turn over any such evidence dating back to 2022.
