A Norman family said they are shocked and devastated to hear that the South Extension Turnpike will run through their brand-new property.
The shock came after the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority announced in a press conference a new alignment for the turnpike through Cleveland and McClain counties.

"I felt God in this place. It is so peaceful here. It is a very peaceful area,” said resident Juanita Wheeler about her home.
Wheeler shared that she is almost 80 years old.
