FERGUSON, Mo. - Ferguson firefighters sprung into action after a car slammed into a fire station Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened at 1:25 p.m. at Ferguson Fire Station No. 2 at West Florissant Avenue and Keelen Drive.

Crews from stations 1 and 2 worked to secure the vehicle and safely extricate the driver, who was then transported to the hospital. Their condition was not disclosed.

No firefighters were injured, but the fire engine parked inside the station was damaged by debris.
