MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County Clerk Wanda Halbert said Wednesday her office's Whitehaven branch is closed due to a potential mold issue.

The office at 4122 Elvis Presley Boulevard had a sign in the door Wednesday showing it was closed.

"There was an internal County Clerk report regarding potential, unseen mold, however, that has NOT been confirmed," Halbert wrote. "Our team is working with local/State officials for an analysis and will follow up."

Halbert asked citizens to visit the other county clerk's other locations.

WREG is looking into the lease agreements Halbert's office has for some of those locations.
