Faced with a malfunctioning teleprompter during his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Donald Trump decided to extemporize.

Babbling like an accident victim on his way to hospital, the president ventured the opinion that he has been “right about everything,” and that he has created the “hottest” country anywhere in the world, with the strongest economy, strongest borders, strongest military and strongest friendships.

Meanwhile, he told his bewildered audience, “your countries are going to hell.”

Since one third of Canada’s income is dependent on trade — and nearly three quarters of exports go to the U.S. — it is no wonder that this country’s leaders are keen to reduce exposure to such delirium.
