A former Fayetteville City Schools teacher charged with sex crimes faces additional charges by a grand jury, according to the Fayetteville Circuit Clerk's office.
Chris Edward Cagle, of Toney, was arrested following an investigation by Fayetteville Police earlier this year after they received reports he allegedly engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student.
A grand jury charged Cagle on Sept. 9 with sexual battery by an authority figure, sexual contact with a minor by an authority figure, and three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.
Cagle worked as a Driver's Ed teacher and football coach before he resigned.
Cagle has another court day set for Dec. 9.
