Getting this one up early, because the results in games elsewhere, and in other time zones, will also be pivotal to the D-backs’ fortunes. They are effectively one game back of both the Reds and the Mets going into play. At 3:40 pm Arizona time, the Reds will get under way in Cincinnati, facing the Pirates in the second game of their series. Then at 5:05 pm, the Mets will start their game in Wrigley Field, after pulling off quite the comeback of their own yesterday against the Cubs. That allowed them, for now, to retake possession of the final NL wild-card, and control their own destiny. Hopefully the Cubs will stop sucking. They’ve been useless of late, losing to the Reds as well.

So figured we might want to get in a little scoreboard watching this afternoon, while we wait for the D-back
