LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - With a weak cold front on the way, it won’t be long before we enjoy drier weather and lower humidity.

As the front moves through, it’s possible some showers or storms still may be ongoing near the coast Thursday morning. So we’ve left a 30% rain chance to account for that. But aside from maybe a couple leftover showers, the afternoon looks drier with some clouds hanging around. Highs still are expected to reach the mid 80’s.

More sunshine arrives Friday through the weekend along with lower humidity, and that will give us a wonderful chance to enjoy time outside! The mornings will be even nicer with morning lows in the mid 60’s likely, and possibly low 60’s north of I-10. It will be a great weekend for any outdoor plans you may have.
