SALEM, Mo. — A Dent County couple has been charged after allegedly setting their residence on fire on Sunday, July 6.

According to online court dockets, Michael and Brittany Moore, of Salem, have both been charged with second-degree arson.

The probable cause statement states that law enforcement was notified by a witness reporting flames coming from the second floor of a residence on July 6.

The Dent County Fire Protection District responded to the scene to put out the structural fire. The district reached out to the Missouri Division of Fire Safety for an investigation into the cause of the fire.
