A man who was killed in an “industrial accident” at an Avon business Tuesday afternoon has been identified as 28-year-old Boston resident David Morais, the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

The West Roxbury resident was moving a stack of plywood at his workplace, Materia Millwork, when he was fatally injured, the district attorney’s office said.

Materia Millwork is “heartbroken” that Morais “lost his life in a tragic accident,” the company said in a statement to MassLive on Wednesday.
