WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The City of Wichita is responding to concerns raised by residents regarding the stormwater drainage improvements along Bleckley Drive.
On Tuesday, some of those who live in the area expressed their frustration about the lack of communication from the city regarding the extent of changes planned for the neighborhood, including losing some trees and having access roads constructed near their homes.
Councilman Brandon Johnson represents the area. He said the city started notifying residents about the project in 2024, sending out nearly 350 letters and holding multiple public meetings to inform the public about the project.
