Construction has started and detailed plans released for a new public primary school in Perth’s north, with the $51 million project expected to be completed in time for the 2027 school year.

Currently known as Banksia Grove West Primary School, once complete the school will accommodate up to 590 students from kindergarten to Year 6.

Two double-storey classroom blocks, a single-storey education support centre for up to 50 students, and dedicated science and art rooms are planned for the new school.

Common facilities, including an administration building, library, staff rooms and a covered assembly area with a music room and canteen will also be constructed, alongside a dedicated kindergarten and pre-primary block featuring its own specialised play space.
