Metra unveiled a prototype for their Cafe Car that will rotate across the busiest train lines this fall as the transportation agency asks riders for feedback on the design.

The car will debut on Metra's Rock Island Line on Sept. 30, appearing on two trains throughout the day. Rock Island riders will have five more opportunities to see the car on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2, before the car is parked for a showcase at the LaSalle Street station starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 6.

The Café Car is a prototype railcar with "café-style seating, counters, and tables that offer a new way for riders to relax, connect and engage during their trip," according to the Metra website .
