Country star Darius Rucker has teamed up with rock veterans to form a new supergroup called Howl Owl Howl, featuring R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills and former Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, Parade reports.
The new band will release their debut single “My Cologne” on Halloween, with their first tour kicking off Nov. 3 at the Vogue in Indianapolis, according to Rolling Stone .
The 59-year-old Hootie and the Blowfish frontman, known for his hit “Wagon Wheel,” is bringing his distinctive vocal style to this new project that the Music Universe describes as a fusion of “organic roots rock with an open-minded alternative flair.”
