PHOENIX (KVOA) - Attorney General Kris Mayes and a coalition of 23 attorneys general, along with several cities and counties, have filed a comment letter opposing the EPA's proposal to rescind its 2009 Endangerment Finding.

According to a news release, this finding recognized that greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles contribute to climate change and pose risks to public health.

"EPA's proposed repeal of the Endangerment Finding is wrong on the science and is unlawful," Mayes said. She emphasized the importance of rigorous scientific methods in evaluating climate change costs, criticizing the EPA's current approach.
