Cicero, N.Y. — The Interstate 81 south off-ramp to Exit 11 (Route 481 North/Oswego), formerly Exit 29N, in Cicero will be closed part of Thursday and Friday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The closure is scheduled from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday to allow crews to install overhead sign structures as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project. Due to the bad weather expected Thursday, DOT said the closures will be extended to Friday night as well.

Drivers should follow the signed detour: continue to Exit 29S (I-481 South/DeWitt), then take Exit 95 (Northern Boulevard), turn north on Northern Boulevard and re-enter I-481 northbound.
