Sixty-one years after the character’s original introduction, Wednesday season 2 introduced an OG Addams Family member. Given that the Netflix show is called Wednesday , there is no issue with the fact that the central story focuses on Wednesday Addams. However, they’ve also taken steps to make the show feel like it’s part of the bigger Addams Family franchise .

Pugsley, Morticia, and Gomez all take a bigger role in Wednesday season 2. Additionally, they introduce Grandmama Hester Frump and discuss Morticia’s sister, Ophelia. After teasing her the whole season, we get a quick glimpse of Ophelia Frump trapped in the basement of Grandmama’s home .
