A popular pizzeria in Chelsea, Massachusetts, is pushing back against online claims that it's helping immigration enforcement agents by allowing them to use its parking lot.

The controversy began Monday when an activist, who regularly documents Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations outside Chelsea District Court, said she saw agents leaving the lot across the street from the courthouse.

Edison Coinbra, co-owner of Ciao Pizza, said the lot is shared with two other businesses and that the restaurant never coordinated with ICE.

"We did not know this was happening until we got here and saw the commotion across the street," Coinbra said.
