HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Health launched a new online public portal , which offers a free, secure way for individuals, parents, and legal guardians to access official immunization records.

The portal gives an official record that can be used as proof of immunization for school, daycare, work, or travel.

This is part of the larger Hawaii State Immunization System, which launched in June.

HiSIS is a secure, confidential, cloud-based space that stores immunization records, which helps patients stay up to date on vaccinations.

The information collected from HiSIS also supports healthcare providers and public health departments collect data on the vaccination status of Hawaii’s communities.
