AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -South Aiken and Aiken High School volleyball entered Tuesday’s meeting 5-1, both tied for second in the SCHSL 4A Region 4 standings.

Aiken played the slight underdog role, snatching set one, 25–22, after a late push. But South Aiken fired back in set two, controlling things start to finish, 25–17.

The real turning point came in set three. Aiken had the edge, up 19–15, but the T-Breds flipped the script: outscoring the Hornets 10–4 down the stretch. Marlena Lee delivered the dagger to close it out.

Lee registered 15 kills on the night, Braisyln Newby clocked 12.

With the momentum rolling, South Aiken shut the door in set four. Bragging rights stay with the T-Breds for now, but these two still have one more showdown at the end of the season.
