AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Georgia Department of Public Health says there is a confirmed case of human West Nile virus in Richmond County.
The department says it sprayed the area to kill adult mosquitoes and used other ways of preventing it from spreading.

Some symptoms you should look for include high fever, body aches, fatigue, vision loss and paralysis.
Some ways you can prevent it is by using outdoor fans and repair any holes or tears in your window and door screens.
You also should call 311 if you see a large amount of mosquitoes.
