The City of Tulsa is working to clean up neighborhoods with the Trash Bash collection events, planned in October and November. The plan is to put three large dumpsters in three parks on different dates.

Citizens can bring their junk, debris and bulky waste to the site of their choice.

Why The City is Doing This

“This is our way of bringing the neighborhood dumpster program to everyone, at various locations throughout the city,” said Josh Noel, Community Engagement Coordinator, “To help decrease illegal dumping, as well as giving another option to get rid of your stuff a little more efficiently.”

Noel says illegal dumping is a problem. News On 6 also found several streets with piles of debris, including mattresses, tires and home appliances.
