Video recordings released through open records show Oklahoma County Sheriff’s investigators interviewing State Superintendent Ryan Walters after two board members claimed nudity appeared on a television in his office during an executive session of the State Board of Education on July 24.

Walters denied ever seeing nudity and described the allegation as “the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” He told investigators the screen showed “two people talking” before he shut it off.

Walters said board meetings are tightly scheduled and come with heightened security.

“Board meeting day is very chaotic,” Walters said. He told investigators he did not spend time in his office that morning, adding, “I have to get my ducks in a row before I walk out and have 12 cameras on me.” Walters
