DALLAS — One ICE detainee was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting at a Dallas ICE facility Wednesday, Department of Homeland Security officials said.
An ICE spokesperson said in an earlier statement that two ICE detainees were killed and a third was wounded, but DHS corrected that statement to say one detainee was killed and two others are in critical condition.
The incident is drawing reactions from local and national officials.
Police responded to the shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office at 8101 N. Stemmons Freeway, off I-35E, shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
