KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — According to a recent study from the Boyd Center for Business and Research at UT Knoxville, Tennessee business leaders report they are feeling the effects of tariffs, but most believe the chance of a recession is low and think the state's economy has a better outlook than the nation over the next year.
Business owners across the state participated in that study, with special emphasis put on the impact of tariffs.
Don Bruce, Director of the Boyd Center, told News Channel 11 that Tennessee business leaders are feeling the effects of tariffs. He added that consumers are still willing to take on the added burden of high prices to get the imported goods they want.
