GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Planning Commission voted on approval of a new subdivision on Wednesday.
The subdivision is a 60-acre project along Jonesville Road and Scuffletown Road near the Five Forks area. It would include more than 70 lots for new homes.
People in the community have spoken out against the development, saying they have already seen enough development nearby.
One resident said, “We can’t say that we’re happy about it, but to a degree, I understand it. I don’t see where Greenville County, at this point in our development, feels as though they have to have every little patch of land which has trees on it… I don’t think the planning on a two lane road that already two miles down the road is eaten up with businesses.
