EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon is gearing up for its largest freshman class in history, with the 2025 move-in day expected to bring significant congestion to the surrounding community. In January, 18,000 students were admitted early, and many more are joining the class of 2029.
Those familiar with the campus suggest staying away during this busy time.
"I think that is a real thing that I didn't even think about," said Owen Murray, a junior at the U of O. "It's like, I'll probably just stay at home and do my work here, instead of going over to campus."
