PITTSBURGH —
New details on a stabbing investigation at Carrick High School revealed how a student managed to bring a knife to school.
According to a criminal complaint, 16-year-old Anthony Taulton admitted to stabbing three of his classmates during an altercation inside the school around 8:30 Wednesday morning. Advertisement
He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, possessing instruments of crime, and possession of a weapon on school property.
Taulton told police he grabbed the knife from his kitchen counter and wrapped it inside of a hat, which he placed in his bookbag.
"He entered through the entrance, he went through the metal detectors, and his bookbag was searched,” said Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Wayne Walters.
