MADISON (WKOW) -- Residents of the temporary housing campground on Dairy Drive are preparing to leave as their time at the site comes to an end. The campground, built in 2021 using COVID relief funds, was meant to be a temporary solution but was extended to four years.

Hopes to stay until spring 2026 were dashed when the Common Council did not approve an extension proposal.
