BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - For years, the Bowling Green Police Department has used different aspects of technology to enhance its operations, with iPhone crash detection being one key tool the department uses to ensure the safety of others.

According to police, when an iPhone detects a collision or a fall, it will call 911 dispatch and give the precise location of the collision.

Dispatch will then call the number back, and it doesn’t matter if you pick up the phone because dispatch will automatically send police, fire and EMS to the location.
