WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE)— Wichita police say pedestrian safety is a growing concern after the city recorded 85 crashes involving people on foot and bicycles so far this year.
The incidents include the death of 32-year-old Joseph “Baby Joe” Cox on Southwest Boulevard last weekend and a 14-year-old boy struck by a driver traveling more than 110 mph earlier this year after his first day at Southeast High School.
