MEMPHIS, Tenn. - FOX13 Investigates continues to dig deeper into contamination at an old defense depot in South Memphis.
The former Army facility was declared a Superfund site in the 1990s, with the government still monitoring it. In our most recent investigation, FOX13 talked to neighbors who questioned whether the contamination is still killing their friends and relatives.
Frank Johnson grew up in Alcy-Ball, which is one of several South Memphis neighborhoods that back up to the old defense depot. The Army housed, dumped and buried chemicals there starting in the early 1940s.
