NEW ORLEANS — Tuesday’s left New Orleans police trying to track down a suspect.

“Investigators are looking for evidence and looking for the leads,” said NOPD Communications Director Reese Harper.

Evidence and leads led New Orleans police to Feliciana Winniford, 38. She was arrested Wednesday morning in Central City on one count of second-degree murder for the still unidentified man’s death.

“We do know that his body suffered from blunt force trauma,” said Harper.

Sources tell WWL Louisiana the man had been bound, gagged, and had a plastic bag over his head inside a ransacked room. Police have not said how Winniford was linked to him.
